Bob Lujano Born in Wichita , Kansas , Bob graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law. He holds a Master of Science in Sports Management from the University of Tennessee . He is also a quadruple amputee.

On January 7, 1979, Bob Lujano contracted meningococcemia, a rare form of meningitis. To save his life, all four limbs had to be amputated. From that day on, Lujano’s goal has been to live an independent life like everyone else. He earned his master’s degree in Recreation/Sports Management from the University of Tennessee, won a bronze medal at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece, co-starred in the Academy nominated documentary “Murderball” and was a guest on Larry King Live. Lujano continues to work at the Lakeshore Foundation, an official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic training site as well as home to the Lima Foxtrot program for recently wounded veterans. Lujano is an Information Specialist for NCHPAD, the National Center on Health, Physical Activity, and Disability. He is an advocate in the area of adaptive and competitive wheelchair sports and serves as President for the USQRA, the United States Quad Rugby Association. In 2013 he was listed as one of the 20 Most Beautiful People in Birmingham, Alabama. Lujano is a motivational speaker, resides in Birmingham, Alabama, and lives a completely independent lifestyle.
